The baby tomatoes are moving on up!

๐Ÿ…

More baby tomatoes got to move into the greenhouse today before the storms came. It’s so much fun thinking of each of the great friends I’ve been able to trade with when I see their seeds growing here! These seeds have come from as close as an hour from here .. to as far away as Denmark .. how fun!

Happy Friday!

Everyone was HOT today.. Chucky made himself a canopy bed, Sunny D laid in the dirt, Obsidian didnโ€™t stick around long and Flint wanted to sit on my lap. Freddy just looked angry and tired.. but we got a lot of stuff done outside and we didnโ€™t get any more rain, thank goodness. ๐ŸŒง๏ธ

๐Ÿ”ฅ Dian Dincin Buchmanโ€™s Herbal Medicine ๐Ÿ’š

I donโ€™t read. Ever. Itโ€™s a waste of my time. I get distracted in my head and forget what Iโ€™ve readโ€ฆ UNLESS Iโ€™m learning something and itโ€™s about plants or animals ๐Ÿ˜ So someone recommended this book and Iโ€™m hooked. Itโ€™s pretty outside today and I should be out there doing something productive.. and I will be .. after just a few more pagesโ€ฆ ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿ˜Š plus I found it used at betterworldbooks.com for like $5!! ๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿคฉ

๐Ÿ’œ Coleus babies ๐Ÿ’š

Two years ago, the first thing I grew in my aero garden was coleus. I put them in two big pots outside and they grew so huge!! I brought them inside for the winter and they came back last spring. Last winter, they were in the little greenhouse when the top blew off and it got so cold, they didnโ€™t make it. ๐Ÿ˜”
Once it started to warm up, I started seeing little babies in all my other pots.. the ones that died planted their seeds everywhere before they left! These are a few of their babies. Now theyโ€™re blooming and making seeds of their own. โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’š

๐Ÿฅœ Peanuts and tiny carrots ๐Ÿฅ•

Iโ€™m pulling up peanuts and these tiny carrots today while Iโ€™m waiting to see tonightโ€™s harvest moon. ๐ŸŒ ๐Ÿฅœ ๐Ÿฅ•

The squirrels plant the peanuts for me every year so Iโ€™ll save some for them. ๐Ÿฟ๏ธ ๐ŸคŽ

๐Ÿ’š Collecting seeds with the kitties โค๏ธ

The kitties helped me collect spicebush seeds yesterday. Of course we left some for the birds. Lily was camouflaged in the leaves and Tiger was swinging from a vine like Tarzan. ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿ˜บ

๐Ÿ‚ Acorns ๐ŸคŽ๐Ÿฟ๏ธ

The squirrels are shaking the acorns out of the oak trees like crazy!! So I figured Iโ€™d collect a few tonight.. of course I left a ton for those crazy squirrels that steal seed from my birds.. that I secretly love.. letโ€™s see if I can grow some oak trees! ๐Ÿฟ๏ธ๐Ÿ‚๐ŸคŽ PS.. 5 of the kitties helped me.. I canโ€™t do this all on my own ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿˆโ€โฌ›๐Ÿ˜ป

๐Ÿ’™ Good morning, morning glories! ๐Ÿ’œ

Some people call them invasive weeds.. but I call morning glories beautiful garden flowers. I get to see them bloom for just part of a day but I love them. This is what the Bible tells us about morning glories:

God tells Moses and Aaron “in the morning, you shall see the glory of the LORD” (Exodus 16:7). What does the glory of the LORD look like? “Like a fine, flake-like thing, fine as frost on the groundโ€ (Exodus 16:14).
