๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’œ Coleus ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’œ

๐Ÿ’œI got an aero garden last year and the first thing I planted was coleus. Watching it grow was so fun! When it got big enough, I put it in pots on the back deck and it got huge! It was in my greenhouse over the winter when a storm blew the cover off and I didnโ€™t think it survived. So sadโ€ฆ but what can I do? I waited just to make sure it wasnโ€™t coming back, then used the dirt in those pots to plant other things.. and planted marigolds and painted daisies in the pots. Next thing I know.. thereโ€™s coleus growing everywhere! Itโ€™s in my coneflower, the milkweed, my sunflowers, the rose mallow.. even in the asparagus! It dropped seeds everywhere, not just in its own pots, but in pots that were near it too. How exciting!! Now I have tons of coleus growing when at first, I thought it was a goner. Iโ€™ll have to try to collect the seeds from these so next year I can have even more.. after all, thereโ€™s no such thing as too many plants! ๐Ÿ’š

Awww.. Hi, little hummingbird โค๏ธ๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ’š

My hummingbirds got here a little later than usual this year and even then, they didnโ€™t visit the feeders very frequently. Thenโ€ฆ the squirrels, or maybe a raccoon, kept knocking down my feeders! I put this one closer to the house on a tree and so far so good.. nothing has knocked it down, and the hummingbirds are eating away. They also love the salvia, zinnias, and even the cucumber blooms. ๐Ÿ’š

๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿฑ Sweet Little Bit ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿ’•

Sweet Little Bit in her safe spot.. away from the big kitties.. theyโ€™re always picking on her. ๐Ÿ˜ฟ๐Ÿ’• At first I thought she was somehow bribing them to chase her so Iโ€™d feel sorry for her and let her come inside. The big kitties are all brothers and sisters but she came here as a stray when she was a baby so sometimes I think she feels left out. Well .. the last couple of cat fights seemed pretty real.. so sheโ€™s inside in the AC for the night.. eating the dogโ€™s food.. watching tv.. and just living her best life. ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿฑ

๐ŸคGourd Blooms ๐Ÿค

I noticed that a few of my gourds have these pretty white blooms.. and they only bloom in the evening.. so i think itโ€™s weird.. how do flowers get pollinated if they are only blooming at nighttime when the butterflies and bees are sleeping?! Of course I google, and the answer is like, duh!!.. nocturnal insects.. like MOTHS! ๐Ÿคฉ How cool!
